These folders provide the school leaders with numerous resources to assist them in fulfilling their responsibilities, and:

• help with the selection and training of qualified mentors;
• support the relationship between the mentor and the novice teacher; and
• supervise and aid the novice teacher, in order to
• scaffold growth and success for the novice teacher;
• respect the confidentiality of the program;
• provide quality programs for both mentors and mentees to increase student learning; and
• contribute to ongoing program evaluation.
