The Mission of the New Jersey Professional Teaching Standards Board (PTSB) is to provide visionary leadership to the education community by influencing the focus, scope, and quality of pre-service training and professional teaching practice by establishing a common core of teaching knowledge, skills and dispositions essential for all New Jersey educators and, thereby, ensuring that standards-based practice and professional growth enhance student learning.
