The State Professional Learning Committee (SPLC) is authorized by the State Board of Education (N.J.A.C. 6A:9C-4.5) to advise the Commissioner and the Department on professional development policies and other matters pertaining to the professional growth and development of all educators in service to improved outcomes for students. This committee replaces two former professional development advisory committees, the Professional Teaching Standards Board (PTSB) and the Professional Development Advisory Committee for School Leaders (PDAC), with the goal of enabling more coherent and aligned policies and guidelines for professional learning for all educators.
