The NJDOE provided regional trainings on the newly released minimum requirements for School Safety and Security Plans (NJAC 6A:16-5.1). The trainings provided additional guidance to assist Local Education Agencies (LEAs) relating to these new minimum requirements, to support their assessment and planning efforts. The trainings concentrated on an overview of the new requirements, along with guidance on how to review and update plans to meet and include the requirements.
