M.O.S.S. Goals

The M.O.S.S. Project has identified several goals to position districts to achieve a standard level of preparedness and establish safe learning environment. These goals include:

  1. Enhance M.O.S.S. Districts' ability to minimize school & district disruptions
  2. Align policies, procedures, and protocols district & community wide
  3. Establish and reinforce relationships with stakeholders
  4. Provide a state snapshot of school preparedness

To achieve a baseline standard and provide a state-wide snapshot, 13 M.O.S.S. benchmarks will be assessed in designated M.O.S.S. Districts. These benchmarks are aligned with key items pursuant to the Department of Education's School Safety and Security Plans Minimum Requirements (N.J.A.C. N.J.A.C. 6A:16-5.1.)
