JAG in New Jersey is:

  • Funded by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development;
  • Administered and supported by the New Jersey Department of Education; and
  • Delivered currently in two districts -- Newark's Barringer Academy of S.T.E.A.M. and Camden High School.

Activities at each site are led by a site coordinator called a JAG Specialist who aids students in mastering 37 specific core competencies that are aligned with the education goals of the Governor and the NJ Department of Education.  The purpose of the program is to prepare students for life after high school, the world of work, and postsecondary success.
