Keeping Our Kids Safe, Healthy & In School
These programs offer academic remediation and enrichment activities, arts and cultural experiences, youth development, support services and physical activity that are designed to reinforce and complement the regular academic programs and develop social skills and personal dispositions to foster academic and career success. Additionally, the programs promote parental involvement and, for their adult family members, the programs offer literacy and other educational services that assist parents in becoming full partners in the education of their children. Currently, New Jersey’s 21st CCLC Program is comprised of 38 grantees throughout the state. Grantees include local education agencies (LEAs), non-profit, for-profit, community-based, and faith-based organizations, operating solely or in partnership with other agencies.
