Broadband Consortia Initiative
The Department has identified a potential cost savings opportunity in regional broadband purchasing cooperatives. The goal of the Broadband Initiative is to help LEAs, schools and nonpublic schools achieve significant gains in Internet capabilities to support emerging applications important to student academic achievement. It is expected that significantly reduced broadband costs will be available for members of the consortia/cooperatives as of July 1, 2015. Click here for more information.
All students will be prepared to meet the challenge of a dynamic global society in which they participate, contribute, achieve, and flourish through universal access to people, information and ideas.
