NJ's Instructional Improvement System
The New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) has developed an online platform in partnership with Pearson Schoolnet called edConnectNJ. edConnectNJ is NJ's Instructional Improvement System (IIS) that provides educators with a suite of tools designed to improve their practice and their students' achievement through organization and efficiencies. The program is available to all districts in NJ. For details, please click on the Program Overview – One Pager above, as well at the About edConnectNJ - Detailed Features tab to the left.
The DOE was able to add additional staffing to the IIS team this past year. edConnectNJ users now have 3 dedicated project managers available every day. These new managers engage in the implementation process the moment a district shows interest, and when a district chooses to implement, our field managers are a direct contact and line of support.
As of June 2015, thirty-one New Jersey districts have committed to using the edConnectNJ system and are finding great value in the tool. Fifty school districts are expected to be in full implementation by the beginning of SY 15-16. Please email us to be connected with another district successfully using the program.
