Comprehensive School Reform Technical Assistance Training Session

The United States Department of Education has provided an award of $4 million to the state of New Jersey for Comprehensive School Reform (CSR) grants.
This session will provide technical assistance to Title I districts and schools that have been identified in need of improvement and are applying for a CSR award. The training will provide information on how to complete the application.
The purpose of the CSR program is to promote, in those schools in need of substantial improvement, the adoption of comprehensive school reform programs that are based on reliable, scientifically based research and practices.
The total amount of federal funds available statewide for this program is $4,100,000 for a maximum of 18 new awards for the project period of January 1, 2006, to December 31, 2006. Applications are due to the New Jersey Department of Education by October 12, 2005.
