The authority shall establish advisory committees in the following areas and in such other areas as it deems appropriate: infrastructure, housing, education, economic matters and workforce development, historical, and environmental. In addition, an advisory committee shall be established to solicit public comment by holding hearings and public meetings and taking other measures to gauge public opinion on matters under the authority's jurisdiction. The membership of the committees shall be determined by the authority. Each committee shall submit a report of its recommendations to the authority. The authority shall consider the reports of the committees in preparing the plan required by section 14 of P.L.2006, c.16 (C.52:27I-14).
