New Jersey Heroes

New Jersey Heroes (NJH), a private, non-partisan, non-profit 501(c) (3) organization, was founded by Mrs. Christie in 2010. NJH operates to encourage, recognize, and support the tireless efforts of unsung heroes that make the lives of New Jersey citizens better. Unlike many other non-profit organizations, NJH does not directly serve a specific community need, but rather recognizes and celebrates the work done by individuals and non-profit organizations in New Jersey.

New Jersey Arts

During her time as First Lady, Mrs. Christie has become passionate about New Jersey arts and artists. Each year the Drumthwacket Foundation, of which Mrs. Christie is President, partners with local groups to decorate the Residence for the holidays. The Foundation has partnered with the New Jersey Theater Alliance, the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, and the New Jersey Ballet to highlight local artists and productions and provide d├ęcor for New Jersey residents to visit and enjoy throughout the holiday season. In 2013, the Landscape Arts Exhibit was installed in the Residence, featuring dozens of works of art created by living and working New Jersey artists. Additionally, in 2014, The Foundation recognized Crossroads Theatre Company for its many contributions to the local theatre community.
