Governor Corzine's Statement Regarding President Obama's Back-To-School Message to the Nation's Students
TRENTON - Governor Jon S. Corzine today issued the following statement regarding President Obama's upcoming back-to school message to students:

"If talking with students about the need to work hard and stay in school is a political agenda, then I'm for President Obama's agenda.  Having the President speaking directly to students throughout the nation is an historic opportunity to provide encouragement and ask our young people to take responsibility for their future.

"There is nothing more important than educating our students and helping them to achieve their potential in school and life.  In New Jersey, my administration increased investments in education by more than $1.8 billion so we can ensure a brighter economic future for our children and our State.  I am sure the President will have an inspiring message and I look forward to hearing him on Tuesday."
