Skiing
New
Jersey's four ski resorts provide hours of wintertime fun.
Whether you choose skiing, snowboarding, or some other
snow activity, New Jersey's ski resorts provide great outdoor
excitement.
Mountain Creek
This
Vernon resort is a favorite ski and snowboarding destination
for many New Jerseyans. In the winter, the resort is a
snow-covered wonderland. Mountain Creek is located in the
Kittatinny Mountains. It features 47 trails from four mountain
peaks. SnowLab 26, a powerful snowmaking machine, makes
sure there's always plenty of snow. A 10,000-watt sound
system provides a rock-n-roll soundtrack to your ski adventure.
Hidden Valley
Also
in Vernon, Hidden Valley has been a long-time ski destination
for families. It features 12 trails and six slopes. Hidden
Valley also has a ski school that includes ski and snowboard
programs for kids ages 4-12.
Campgaw Mountain
Mahwah's
ski resort offers eight scenic cross-country trails. The "Skiwee" program
introduces kids to skiing through fun games. There's a
freestyle snowboard park, snow tubing areas, and ski slopes.
High Point Cross Country
Ski Center
This
Sussex ski location is perfect for cross-country skiers.
Beginners and experts enjoy its 15 kilometers of trails
covered by real and artificial snow. You can go snowmobiling,
ice skating on the lake (weather permitting), and even
ice fishing.
