| The following is a description of each of the component
strategies designed to achieve the goals and objectives of the
comprehensive tobacco control program. The strategic components
of the comprehensive tobacco control program include: a youth
tobacco awareness/marketing and communication campaign, community
partnerships, youth programs, nicotine treatment programs, and
evaluation. No component is exclusive of the others, nor is any
component complete without the others.
For each strategic component the following information is
presented:
- general background information;
- a description of current practices in New Jersey;
- a description of other states' programs and best practices;
and,
- the Department's proposed approach for implementation.
