Purpose: 
The Council advises the Commissioner on strategies to reduce teen pregnancy; create a coordinated and comprehensive approach to the social, economic and health problems of adolescent pregnancy and parenthood; develop programs to prevent adolescent pregnancy and improve services to at risk adolescents; and facilitate community involvement and input.
