Improving Appropriate Antibiotic Prescribing for Acute Respiratory Infections” is a free, interactive case-based on-line learning experience that will enhance your ability to:

  • Describe four consequences of the overuse of antibiotics for acute respiratory infections
  • Apply the principles of appropriate antibiotic use for treatment of acute bronchitis, acute sinusitis, pharyngitis and acute otitis media
  • Develop practical strategies to adopt appropriate antibiotic use within your practice

Instructions:  To participate in this activity, go to www.getsmartcolorado.com/08course.htm and register.

Under the “Instructions” section, click on TRAIN.  Once on the TRAIN website, look to the left, select NJ and click on “create account.”  You will then go through a series of registration pages.  Complete the required fields and continue through to the “announcement page.”  Locate the blue index card for “Search by Course ID#” on the right side of the screen.  Enter course number “1015038.”
