There are numerous opportunities for the nursing professional, as well as members of the MS team, to enhance care for their patients with MS. This disease, which is more common in women than in men, appears to have a higher prevalence in Caucasians than other racial groups. It is now believed that MS is the result of an interaction of both genetic and environmental factors.
