New Jersey Insurance Coverage and Health Policies
- Offer breast, cervical, prostate, and colorectal cancer screenings.
- Cover diabetic supplies, equipment, and/or out-patient management training.
- Cover inpatient stay for at least 72 hours after a radical mastectomy and at least 48 hours after a simple mastectomy.

- Offer at least one standard basic plan in individual and small group market that provides coverage for FDA-approved contraceptives.
- Cover infertility diagnosis and treatment for insurers with more than 50 persons.

- Cover OB/GYNS as primary care providers.
- State has Religious or Moral Refusal Clauses for reproductive health services.
- State does not mandate hospital emergency rooms to offer/provide sexual assault survivors with emergency contraception.
- Pharmacists cannot provide emergency contraception to women without a doctor’s prescription.
