While not all diagnoses are mandated to be registered, a majority of Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN) with cleft lip/palate and other craniofacial anomalies in need of services through the CLCPC Centers will need a registration to qualify for additional services.

What Services Are Provided by CLCPC Centers?

Cleft Lip Cleft Palate Craniofacial (CLCPC) Centers serve as state of the art centers for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of children with craniofacial anomalies including (but not limited to):

  • Cleft Lip (unilateral or bilateral)
  • Cleft Palate
  • Velopharyngeal Incompetence
  • Craniosynostosis
  • Hemifacial Micromsomia
  • Deformational Plagiocephaly

Each CLCPC Center consists of a Core Team and Professionals available either in house or via consultant agreement.  The Core Team Consists of the following disciplines:

  • Plastic Surgery
  • General Pediatrics
  • Dentistry
  • Orthodontia
  • Otolaryngology
  • Speech/Language Pathology
  • Audiology
  • Psychology
  • Social Work

Team Members available either in house or via consultant agreement include: Anesthesia, Cardiology, Genetics, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Maxillofacial Surgery, Orthopedics, Prosthodontics, Psychiatry, Radiology, etc.

Who is eligible for Services Provided by CLCPC Centers?

Children birth through 21 years of age with cleft lip and/or palate, craniofacial anomalies or velopharyngeal incompetence.
