The reported absenteeism rate among school students 6.26%, which is the eleventh for this school year flu season that started on September 23, 2003.

Reports were received from (61) nursing homes from the following counties: Atlantic (4), Burlington (1), Camden (3), Cape May (4), Cumberland (3), Essex (3), Gloucester (1), Hudson (3), Hunterdon (4), Mercer (3), Middlesex (2), Monmouth (3), Morris (2), Ocean (5) and Passaic (6), Somerset (4), Sussex (2), Union (1), and Warren (7).

The reported influenza-like illness rate among nursing home residents was 4.61%, which is the eleventh report for this flu season. that started on September 23, 2003.

Reports were received from (43) hospital emergency departments from the following counties: Atlantic (2), Burlington (1), Camden (5) Cumberland (2), Gloucester (1), Hudson (3), Mercer (3), Middlesex (4) Monmouth (5), Morris (3), Ocean (2), Passaic (2), Salem (2), Somerset (1), Union (5), and Warren (2).

The reported influenza-like illness rate among Emergency Department patients was 6.60%, which is the eleventh for this flu season that started on September 23, 2003.
