The New Jersey Healthcare-Associated Infections Legislation adopted in 2007 requires New Jersey hospitals to submit uniform data to the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services on health care facility-associated infections. The legislation also requires the Department to review, analyze and report this information to the public as part of the hospital performance report.
This site is designed to provide hospitals with background information and requirements for submitting this information to the Department, thereby fulfilling the law’s mandatory reporting requirements. It also includes relevant information for consumers.
