Certificate of Need Decision Letters

Certificate of Need applications that do not qualify for expedited review must undergo full review by the State Health Planning Board, an advisory panel to the New Jersey Commissioner of Health.

Certificates of Need - Expedited Review

New Jersey law permits expedited review of Certificate of Need applications by the Department of Health in lieu of the full review process, which includes review by the State Health Planning Board, in certain circumstances set forth in N.J.A.C. 8:33-5. Decisions issued by the Department under the expedited review process are posted here.
