Due to the dangerous fires today in Ocean County, the Department of Health and Senior Services coordinated the relocation of about 250 individuals from two nursing homes and an assisted living facility in Ocean County.

In accordance with DHSS protocol, families of residents of Southern Ocean Center Nursing Home and Summerville at Stafford assisting living center who were relocated to other nursing homes located out of the area of the fire or to home of their families and were notified by administrators from the long term care facilities.
