The Commission on Rationalizing Healthcare Resources’ final report will be released at a press conference on Thursday, January 24, at 1 p.m. at Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. The press conference will be in Dodds Auditorium in Robertson Hall.

Dr. Uwe Reinhardt, chair of the commission and an internationally recognized expert in health economics, will discuss the report’s findings and recommendations. Dr. Reinhardt is a professor of economics and public affairs at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. The report was commissioned through an executive order by Governor Jon S. Corzine to help New Jersey legislators and policy makers address the financial issues regarding the state's healthcare delivery system.

Also participating in the press conference will be Health and Senior Services’ Commissioner Heather Howard, J.D., and commission members Fred M. Jacobs, M.D., J.D., the former Commissioner of Health and Senior Services; Steven M. Goldman, J.D., L.L.M, Commissioner of Department of Banking and Insurance; Linda Garibaldi, J.D., Senior Attorney, Legal Services of New Jersey; and Jennifer Velez, J.D., Commissioner of the Department of Human Services.

Also in attendance will be Commission members Joel C. Cantor, Sc.D., Director, Center for State Health Policy, Rutgers University; Gerry E. Goodrich, J.D., M.P.H., Director of Practice Operations at Weill Medical College at Cornell University; David Hunter, M.P.H.,.Health Care Consultant;  JoAnn Pietro, R.N., J.D., Wahrenberger, Pietro and Sherman.
