Newark – On August 14, Health and Senior Services Commissioner Heather Howard will join Essex County and City officials for the opening of a new senior nutrition meal site, a launch made possible through American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funding.

Commissioner Howard will visit with seniors as they eat lunch at this new site, which began serving meals two days a week at the beginning of July and will start offering five nutritious meals each week by the end of August.

This event will be held at 2 Nevada Street, Newark at 1pm.
