Patients & Caregivers in New Jersey’s Medicinal Marijuana Program Can Register with Egg Harbor ATC Beginning Monday
Trenton, NJ - In anticipation of the September opening of the Compassionate Care Foundation (CCF) Alternative Treatment Center (ATC) in Egg Harbor Twp., patients and caregivers will be able to register with this ATC on the New Jersey Medicinal Marijuana Program's webpage beginning Monday, August 5, 2013, Health Commissioner Mary E. O'Dowd announced today.
Beginning Monday, patients will be able to choose between two ATCs based on geographic location, the quality of service, type of product or any other considerations patients may have.
CCF will schedule patient appointments in the order in which patients registered with the MMP. CCF expects to dispense product after mid-September.
"Patients will now have more options in terms of locations and types of product, which some patients and caregivers have said they would prefer," said Commissioner O'Dowd. "One of the strains CCF is growing has a high cannabidiol (CBD) content and is low in THC (tetrahydrocannabinol)."
Patients can choose any ATC regardless of where they live. Patients can change ATCs at any time and it does not require a new identification card. There is no cost to change ATC registration, but patients only register with one ATC at a time.
The Department issued Compassionate Care Foundation (CCF) a permit to cultivate on June 6, 2013 and has been working closely with CCF toward a September opening.
Patients and caregivers can reach the CCF customer service department by calling (609) 277-7547 or visiting its website at http://ccfnj.org/.
The MMP has reached out to registered patients with instructions on how to change their registration. Information and instructions on the Patient Initiated ATC Selection Process can be found on the Department's MMP webpage. Patients may also contact the MMP Customer Service Unit at (609) 292-0424.
