  • General Sanitation Project: services include regulation of tanning facilities, body art establishments (including piercing, tattooing and permanent cosmetics facilities), healthcare facility and institutional sanitation, safety and infection control, and sanitary conditions impacting the quality of life of New Jersey residents and visitors.

  • Environmental Health Hazards Project: services include certification of youth camps, regulation of public campgrounds and recreational bathing facilities, maintaining of ocean water quality, evaluation of state correctional institutions, oversight of the mattress statute, and providing educational material regarding bedbugs.
