Program Description:

The UMDNJ-SOM Medical Science Academy is a 28-week medical exploration program for 12th grade honor students from Camden, Burlington and Gloucester county high schools. Students attend the program from September through March every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon from 2Pm to 3:00 PM on the Stratford Campus. Clinical and Science Faculty volunteer their time to give lecture/presentations to the high school students regarding various careers in the health professions and medicine. Students are able to participate in an optional research project for a total of four credits toward their undergraduate program.
