Woodbine Administration Building

Woodbine Developmental Center (WDC), founded in 1921, is located on 250 acres of land in Woodbine, Cape May County, where it is the area’s largest employer. WDC provides a wide range of habilitation, behavioral and medical services and supports to men with developmental disabilities. As of December 1, 2010, the census at Woodbine was 475, and the average age of its residents was 50.

WDC is a strategic part of Cape May County’s emergency management system for health and national security emergencies. In those instances, it is able to serve as a point of distribution, a community shelter, and a redeployment center for emergency personnel.
