01.26.15 Public Input Sessions Announced
The New Jersey Department of Human Services has scheduled public input sessions on February 4 and February 19 regarding the Statewide Transition Plan for coming into compliance with the Home and Community Based Services Rule, which was released in January 2014 by the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

01.23.15 Focus Groups for DDD Stakeholders
Scheduled focus groups are now FILLED TO CAPACITY AND CLOSED
The Division of Developmental Disabilities, in collaboration with The Boggs Center on Developmental Disabilities, is holding a series of focus groups to learn more about what stakeholders would like to have addressed in DDD’s overall plan to ensure quality services and supports in the new system. People with disabilities, family members, providers, and other stakeholders are invited to share their ideas.

guide was announced. This comprehensive resource, developed by the Office on Autism in collaboration with several state divisions and departments, provides information about accessing autism services in New Jersey.
11.21.14 2015 Graduates Timeline Available
The 2015 Graduates Aging Out of the School System Timeline
is now available. It provides an overview for young adults who will exhaust their educational entitlement by turning 21 years of age within the 2014-15 school year, and who wish to pursue Division-funded services.
10.10.14 Provider Qualification Process Temporarily on Hold
Please be advised that effective October 20, 2014
, the qualification of new service providers will be temporarily on hold
. Any applications currently in process or those in transit and received by October 17, 2014 for open services at this time will continue to be processed. The Day Habilitation qualification process continues to be on hold.
This change is necessary due to the development of the Medicaid provider application process as part of the Division’s system reform efforts. The Medicaid provider application will remain open for Support Coordination services only. Please check the Supports Program
page of the Division’s website regularly for updates regarding the Medicaid application process.

was established in the Department of Human Services through bi-partisan legislative support and a law signed by Governor Chris Christie on April 30, 2010. Information can be found at Central Registry of Offenders against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities
