The directions below will take you to the parking garage behind Capital Center. You must pay to park there. The front doors to Capital Center are located in the middle of the building on State Street. Public access must be gained by first going to the 1st or 2nd Floor Security Guard for a Visitor's Pass to visit the State Offices located in Capital Center on the 3rd to 6th floors.
FROM NEW JERSEY From Northeast NJ via Route 1: Take Rt. 1 South to Trenton. Just North of Trenton, (Lawrenceville) Rt. 1 splits into 2 roads. Stay to the left ( do not use Rt. 1 Alternate ). From Rt. 1, take the Perry Street exit. At the end of the exit ramp, turn left onto Perry Street. At the 3rd traffic light (St. Mary's Cathedral in front of you) turn left onto Warren Street. Before you get to the next traffic light (at Hanover & Warren), turn left into the Trenton Parking Garage (at Warren and Hanover Streets).
From Northeast NJ via the NJ Turnpike: Take the NJ Turnpike South to Exit 7A. Follow I-195 West - I-195 West becomes Rt. 129 (bear to the right) continue to Rt. 1 North. Exit at Perry Street. Up ramp exit turn left onto Perry Street. At the fourth traffic light, (St. Mary's Cathedral will be in front of you) turn left onto Warren Street. Before you get to the next traffic light, (Hanover & Warren) turn left into the Trenton Parking Garage (at Warren and Hanover Streets).
From Northwest NJ: Take Route 31 South ( Rt 31 becomes Pennington Avenue in Trenton ). Turn right at the end of Pennington Ave. onto Warren Street. Proceed beyond traffic light. Parking garage is on left, before next traffic light.
From Southern NJ: If using the NJ Turnpike, take Exit 7A. Follow I- 195 West - Rt. I-195 West becomes Rt. 129 (stay to the right) continue on Rt. 129 to Rt. 1 North. Exit right at Perry Street. Up ramp exit turn left onto Perry Street. At the fourth traffic light, (St. Mary's Cathedral will be in front of you) turn left onto Warren Street. From Southern NJ: Rt. 206 North through Bordentown to I-195 West. Rt. I-195 West becomes Rt. 129 (stay to the right) continue on Rt. 129 to Rt. 1 North. Exit right at Perry Street. Up ramp exit turn left onto Perry Street. At the fourth traffic light, (St. Mary's Cathedral will be in front of you) turns left onto Warren Street. Before you get to the first traffic light, (Hanover & Warren) turn left into the Trenton Parking Garage (at Warren and Hanover Streets). FROM PENNSYLVANIA From I-95: Take I-95 North to Scudders Falls Bridge (over Delaware River). Take 1st exit after going over the bridge. While going down ramp, at Stop sign, go straight onto Route 29 South. Take Route 29 South to Memorial Drive. The Trenton War Memorial will be on your left. At stop sign turn left (Dept. of Labor and Industry Bldg. will be in front of you). Go straight through traffic light and turn left onto Broad Street. Follow Broad Street to the traffic light at Perry Street and turn left onto Perry Street. (St. Mary's Cathedral will be in front of you). Turn left onto Warren Street. Follow Warren Street about one block (before traffic light at Hanover and Warren Streets) - parking garage will be on your left.
From Route 1: Route 1 North into NJ to the Perry Street exit. Turn left on Perry Street and follow Perry Street to Warren Street. Turn left onto Warren Street (St. Mary's Cathedral will be in front of you) and about one block down on Warren (before traffic light at Hanover and Warren Streets) - parking garage will be on your left
From Calhoun St Bridge: Continue straight towards State Street. At traffic light turn right onto West State Street. At next light (Willow Street) turn left and go two lights up to Bank Street. Turn right onto Bank Street. Next light (Warren & Perry) turn right onto Warren Street. Follow Warren Street about one block (before traffic light at Hanover and Warren Streets) - parking garage will be on your left.
From Trenton Makes World Takes Bridge: Go over bridge and proceed through 3 traffic lights. After 3rd traffic light, bear right to stop sign. Mercer County Court House will be on your left. Turn left onto Broad Street. Follow Broad Street to the Perry Street traffic light, turn left onto Perry Street and at next traffic light turn left onto Warren Street. Follow Warren Street about one block (before traffic light at Hanover and Warren Streets) - parking garage will be on your left.
From I-295 South: Exit at #60 and take I-195 West towards Trenton (connects to Rt. 129). Continue on Rt. 129 to traffic light at Hamilton Avenue and turn left onto Hamilton Avenue. Go one block to South Broad Street and turn right onto South Broad. To straight on Broad Street until light at Perry Street, turn left onto Perry Street. Go one block to Warren Street and turn left. Go about 1 block and parking garage will be on your left. DIRECTIONS WHEN LEAVING DMHS To Northeast Jersey via the NJ Turnpike: Turn left out of the parking garage onto Warren Street to 3rd traffic light - turn left onto Front Street. Follow Front Street to light at Stockton Street (NJ Division of Motor Vehicles will be on your left). Turn Right onto Stockton Street and then turn left at next traffic light to Rt.129, leads to I-195 East, to NJ Turnpike.
To Northeast Jersey via Route 1: Turn left out of the parking garage onto Warren Street. Continue straight on Warren through traffic lights, past Department of Human Services (on your left), past Department of Labor (on your right), around the Richard Hughes Justice Complex (on your right). At traffic light BEFORE overpass and before going over the bridge to Pennsylvania, turn left at a light which will take you up a ramp and around onto Route 1 North.
To Northwest Jersey: Turn left out of the parking garage onto Warren Street. At the second traffic light, (State Street) turn right onto State Street. Continue on State Street to Calhoun Street. Turn left onto Calhoun Street and in right lane take exit for Route 29 North.
To South Jersey: Turn left out of the parking garage onto Warren Street. At the 2nd traffic light, turn right onto State Street. Follow State Street until traffic light at Calhoun Street. Turn left, go over overpass (stay in right lane) around to Route 29 South. After passing through a tunnel, Rt. 29 becomes Rt. 129 - leading to I- 295 South or until Rt. 129 ends & becomes I-195 East.
