About the Human Services PoliceThe Human Services Police Force protects facilities across the state which are open and operated by the Department of Human Services 24 hours a day, seven days a week, all year long. This includes developmental centers and psychiatric hospitals.
Through a joint agreement with the Department of Children and Families, almost half of the Human Services Police Force also operates out of DYFS (Division of Youth and Family Services) Units across the state to protect case workers and DYFS offices around the clock.
We, the Human Services Police, exist to serve the most vulnerable citizens in New Jersey with respect and sensitivity.
