An important unit of the Office of Program Integrity and Accountability, the Office of Licensing is the licensing and regulatory authority of the Department of Human Services.
OOL's responsibilities...
The Office of Licensing regulates programs serving persons with mental illness, developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injuries.
Through its licensing and regulatory process, the Office of Licensing supports the provision of a safe environment in which consumers receive services appropriately.
The Office of Licensing consists of two operating units: Developmental Disabilities Licensing and Mental Health Licensing.
The Child Care & Youth Residential Licensing unit and the Resource Family Licensing unit are now in a separate Office of Licensing in the Department of Children and Families.
