Federal Standards Statement
A Federal standards analysis is not required because the readopted rules are governed by N.J.S.A. 51:1-61. Although the rules are not subject to any mandated Federal requirements or standards, the Office has voluntarily adopted by reference the standards developed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and published in its Handbook 44 for weighing and measuring devices in the State of New Jersey.
