CALL TO ORDER The regular bimonthly meeting of the Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology Advisory Committee was called to order at 124 Halsey Street at 10:00 a.m., all members having been notified of the time, date and place, and materials pertinent hereto having been provided.

SUNSHINE LAW In compliance with Chapter 231 the Public Law of 1975, notice of this meeting was given to the Trenton Times, the Star Ledger, the Courier-Post and the Record.

I APPROVAL OF MINUTES

September 11, 2008

On a motion made by Hilda Pressman, seconded by Gerard Caracciolo, the Committee voted to approve the minutes as amended. There not being a quorum, this matter will be revisited at the next available meeting to approve the Committee’s decision.

II RULES AND REGULATIONS

Regulatory Analyst, Charles Manning discussed changes of the Audiology Regulations. On a motion made by Gerard Caracciolo, seconded by Hilda Pressman, the Committee voted to approve the changes. The motion carried by unanimous vote. Committee member Kathlyn Conlon-Pignio was polled by Executive Director, Renee Clark.

III NEW BUSINESS

a. Committee member Gerard Caracciolo discussed an autism bill which raises money for speech therapy. This matter has been tabled pending information from regulatory analyst, Charles Manning.

b. The Committee discussed a possible Newsletter. After discussion Chair directed Committee member, Hilda Pressman to provide Executive Director, Renee Clark six questions (3 pertaining to Audilogy and 3 pertaining to Speech-Language) to post on Committee website under frequently asked questions instead of a newsletter. This matter has been tabled pending the information requested from Committee member, Hilda Pressman.
