Correspondence received from Ms. Mary Ellen Kasten in connection with her initial shop application for A Place of My Own, 104 Mine Brook Road, Bernaresville, New Jersey and her desire to obtain a minimum square footage waiver. The inspection report reflects that the shop only contains 306 square feet of floor space, 44 square feet short of the minimum required by N.J.A.C. 13:28-2.5. IMO Sheldon Jordan in connection with his criminal offense and his desire to become licensed as a cosmetologist-hairstylist. Correspondence received from Ms. Valerie Chan, 2418 South 75th Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in connection with the outstanding penalty assessed against her in the amount of $600.00 for the alleged violation of N.J.S.A. 45:5B-7 at Natural Nails, 373 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, New Jersey on July 27, 2007. She has indicated that she would like to waive her right to a hearing but has furnished a written explanation for the Board to consider before rendering its final decision. Correspondence received from Mr. Paul & Wanda Figueroa, t/a The Ultimate Wanda’s Unisex Salon, 441 Amboy Avenue, Perth Amboy, New Jersey in connection with the outstanding penalties assessed against him in the amount of $250.00 for the alleged violations resulting out of an inspection of his shop on August 28, 2009. Correspondence received from Ms. Theresa A. She has indicated that she would like to waive her right to a hearing but has furnished a written explanation for the Board to consider before rendering its final decision. Correspondence received from Ms. Christine Hopkins & Mr. Dominic Flamini, t/a Salon Soha, 1001 White Horse Pike, Haddon Township, New Jersey in connection with the outstanding penalty assessed against them in the amount of $200.00 for the alleged violation resulting out of an inspection of their shop on August 28, 2009. They have indicated that they would like to waive their right to a hearing but have furnished a written explanation for the Board to consider before rendering its final decision. A request received from Ms. Cassandra Jennissen, Academic Director, European Academy, 1126 Morris Avenue, Union, New Jersey to allow their students for the months of November and December to wear jeans on Fridays only. She indicated that they will be supporting YWCA (Domestic Abuse) and in the “Empire Gives Back Program” and that all proceeds will be given to their local charity. Cruet, Assistant Principal, Cumberland County Technical Education Center requesting Board approval to offer the Teacher of Cosmetology (Master Educator) Program.
