DeVita has been identified by law enforcement as being a "member/soldier"
of the Genovese organized crime family, and an associate of other
organized crime members. In addition, he has a criminal background
for offenses including first-degree murder, robbery, criminal usury,
and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
