One count of conspiracy to obtain money by false pretenses from the Resorts International Casino. The offense occurred on October 16, 1978. Mr. Mathis did conspire with Michael Janssen to falsely represent to the Resorts International Casino Cashier's Cage that Mr. Janssen had deposited the sum of $6,600 with the cashier's cage, when in fact, no such deposit had been made. Mr. Mathis pled guilty to this charge on May 17, 1979 in Atlantic County, New Jersey. On June 29, 1979, he was sentenced to six months in the Atlantic County jail, sentence suspended. Placed on probation for one year and fined $250.
