Official Corruption Bureau

The Official Corruption Bureau, comprised of a Bureau command and North and South Units, is responsible for conducting criminal investigations into allegations of official misconduct. These investigations involve any elected or appointed government employee, or agent thereof, who attempts to derive a benefit as a result of the position held. Within the Bureau's mission, detectives address these issues of corruption by conducting detailed investigations, often interacting with department and agency heads to bring these allegations to a logical conclusion. Bureau members initiate investigations from leads received by law enforcement agencies, information from cooperating witnesses and complaints from the general public. While all investigated conduct does not rise to the level of criminal conduct, the investigations often lead to corrective actions and new safeguards put in place to avoid a recurrence of these activities.

The Official Corruption Bureau is made up of the following Units:

  • Official Corruption North Unit
  • Official Corruption South Unit
