Mount Laurel, N.J. - The New Jersey State Police is searching for Joseph Tiedeman, 58, of Burlington, N.J., who detectives believe may have been involved in a May 17 fatal crash on Interstate 295.

At 8:46 p.m., a 2011 Ford F550 ran off of the roadway into the center median, struck an overpass support post for State Highway 73, and then caught fire.  A male victim, yet to be identified, was found inside the vehicle and pronounced deceased at the scene.

The truck involved in the crash is registered to Joseph Tiedeman, who was last seen at approximately 1:00 p.m., on May 17 at a moving and storage company in Robbinsville, N.J.  Tiedemann was hired to perform mechanical work on company vehicles.

Tiedeman is a white male, 6’01”, 240 pounds, brown hair, and brown eyes.  He was last seen wearing a red tee-shirt labeled “Road Assist Professional,” black work pants, glasses, and brown boots.  He is currently listed as a missing person.

Detectives believe Tiedeman has connections in Pennsylvania or Delaware.  Anyone with information is asked to contact Bordentown Station at (609) 298-1171.  The details and circumstances surrounding the fatal crash are still under investigation.
