NJ National Guard State Fishing License
Authority:
NJ State Assembly Bill No. 1565 dated June 11, 1993.
Eligibility: Active members of the NJNG,
who have completed Initial Active Duty for Training
(IADT)/ Officer Basic Branch Course.
Criteria: Must be an active member of a unit
in either the New Jersey Army or Air National Guard
as evidenced by the submission an original copy
of a current (showing participation in unit training
assemblies within last 90 days) Leave and Earnings
Statement (LES) or MyPay.
Application: You can now apply for the NJ
National Guard State Fishing License On-Line (Click
here to apply On-Line) or by regular U.S.
Mail. To apply by mail submit either a resident NJDMAVA
Form 799-1 or a non-resident NJDMAVA
Form 799-2 application form and
copy of the NJ Supplemental Child Support Certification to the address indicated on the
application. Forms are available for download below
or may be obtained from your unit clerk.
Supplemental Application (NJ Child Support Certification)
The Supplemental Application (NJ Child Support Certification) is required by the State of New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife prior to issue of a Hunting and/or Fishing License. NJ Child Support Certification is valid for one year, 1 January to 31 December, and must be renewed yearly. If the NJ Child Support Certification is not submitted with NJ National Guard Hunting and fishing application, one will be mailed to applicant and must be returned prior to issue of license.
NJ Child Support Certification license application must be filled out completely and clearly and signed by applicant. NJ Child Support Certification must be returned to this office within 30 days or original application will be rejected.
The NJ Child Support certification may be obtained on line from Division of Fish and Wildlife website and must be attached to New Jersey Hunting or Fishing License application.
To access and complete the Supplemental (Child Support Certification) Application go to:

- In the Upper left corner click on “Buy Your License & Permits on Line”
- At bottom of page click on “Start Here”
- Fill in Social Security Number & Birth Date
- Click on “Resident or Non-resident”
- Fill in all required information
- Go to bottom of page on click on “Submit Child Support Enforcement Certification Only”
- Fill in required information
- Print certificate and attach to application.
After You obtain your annual Lifetime conservation ID Number, You can apply online for a fishing License only. To apply online Click Here.
For all hunting licenses a copy of the child support certificate must be mailed along with your application and all other required documents shown below.
NJ
National Guard State Firearm Hunting License
Eligibility: Active members of the NJNG,
who have completed Initial Active Duty for Training
(IADT)/ Officer Basic Branch Course.
Criteria: Must have attended a Firearms Hunter's
Training Safety Course or have been issued a firearm or bow
hunting license in the past.
Must be an active member of a unit in either the
New Jersey Army or Air National Guard as evidenced
by the submission an original copy of a current
(showing participation in unit training assemblies
within last 90 days) Leave and Earnings Statement
(LES).
Application: Submit either a resident NJDMAVA
Form 799-1 (10kb PDF) or a non-resident NJDMAVA
Form 799-2 (10kb PDF) application form,
which may be obtained from your unit clerk, with
the original copy of a recent (within 90 days of
application) LES, original copy of last firearms
hunting license issued or evidence of having completed
the Firearms Hunter's Training Safety Course to
the address on the application.
NJ
National Guard State Bow Hunting License
Eligibility: Active members of the NJNG,
who have completed Initial Active Duty for Training
(IADT)/ Officer Basic Branch Course.
Criteria: Must have attended a Bow and Arrow
Hunter's Training Safety Course or have been issued
a firearm hunting license in the past.
Must be an active member of a unit in either the
New Jersey Army or Air National Guard as evidenced
by the submission an original copy of a current
(showing participation in unit training assemblies
within last 90 days) Leave and Earnings Statement
(LES).
Application: Submit
either a resident NJDMAVA
Form 799-1 (10kb PDF) or a non-resident NJDMAVA
Form 799-2 (10kb PDF) application form,
which may be obtained from your unit clerk, with
the original copy of a recent (within 90 days of
application) LES, original copy of last bow and
arrow hunting license issued or evidence of having
completed the Bow and Arrow Hunter's Training Safety
Course to the address on the application.
NJ
National Guard State Trapping License
Eligibility: Active members of the NJNG,
who have completed Initial Active Duty for Training
(IADT)/ Officer Basic Branch Course.
Criteria: Must have attended a Trappers Education
Course or have been issued a trappers license in
the past.
Must be an active member of a unit in either the
New Jersey Army or Air National Guard as evidenced
by the submission an original copy of a current (showing
participation in unit training assemblies within
last 90 days) Leave and Earnings Statement (LES).
Application:Submit
either a resident NJDMAVA
Form 799-1 (10kb PDF) or a non-resident NJDMAVA
Form 799-2 (10kb PDF) application form,
which may be obtained from your unit clerk, with
the original copy of a recent (within 90 days of
application) LES, original copy of last bow and
arrow hunting license issued or evidence of having
