New Jersey Employer Receives Top Awards


Princeton, NJ - On Tuesday evening, May 15, 2001 at 7:30 pm, Eastern Mountain Sports will be honored with the presentation of two very special awards: the Pro Patria Award from the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Committee and the Air Mobility Command’s Outstanding Employer of the Guard and Reserve award at a special ceremony at Drumthwacket, the official residence of the Governor in Princeton, New Jersey.

Presenting the Pro Patria award, which recognizes the outstanding employer of the more than 25,000 Army and Air National Guardmembers, Army,  Marine, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard reservists serving in various units within the state of New Jersey, will be the ESGR State Chairman, Edward A. Kelly, Jr. and , representing Acting Governor Donald T. Di Francesco, Major General Paul J. Glazar, the Adjutant General of New Jersey.  The Air Mobility Command Outstanding Employer of the Guard and Reserve award covers all employers of Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve personnel within the 50 states, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and the District of Columbia and will be presented by Major General George N. ‘Nick’ Williams, Commander, 21st Air Force. This is the first time any employer has received both these prestigious awards.

More than 150 guests representing senior representatives of  New Jersey’s state, county, and municipal elected officials, military community, corporate, and private business sector will be in attendance at the historic, revolutionary era Executive mansion for the ceremony.
