Mount Holly Resident Chosen Employee Of The Quarter

Torres (right), an Armorer, Bordentown Maintenance Shop, at the New Jersey National Guard Armory at Bordentown the award, during a ceremony at the National Guard Training Center at Sea Girt.MOUNT HOLLY, NJ - On July 9, Mount Holly resident Manuel B. Torres received the New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs Award for the Second Quarter.

 Manuel B. Torres received the award for his work maintaining the New Jersey National Guard Armory at Bordentown.  “You go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure the safety, cleanliness, and operational readiness of the Armory.  You have taken care of both the Armory and have maintained a top-notch shop, as well as caring for both the facility grounds.  Your personal work ethics, sense of pride and enthusiasm has earned you the title of Sterling Armorer.”

The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs which is the state headquarters for both the New Jersey Army and Air National Guard and responsible for the administration of state veterans programs, has more than 1,500 employees at 60 locations throughout the state.
