Albanian Military tour New Jersey
FORT DIX , NJ - As part of the Partnership for Peace program,  members of the Albanian Armed Forces will spend 7 days observing training activity of the New Jersey Army NationalGuard.  The New Jersey National Guard has been involved in the Partnership for Peace program for more than 10 years.  Following the fall of the Soviet Union, the National Guard Bureau implemented the Partnership to assist evolving former Soviet satellite nations move towards a more democratic form of government and restructure their military to a model more closely resembling the National Guard.  The Guard functions as both a state militia responding to emergencies within their respective states or territories.
