Glassboro Resident Completes Sergeants Major Academy
Photo caption: Glassboro resident Sgt. Maj. Michael Amoroso completed the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy located at Fort Bliss, Texas, June 21. Sgt. Maj. Amoroso was among four New Jersey Army National Guardsmen to graduate from the Academy. The two-year program includes 23 months of long-distance learning and two and a half weeks of in-residence at Fort Bliss. The course covers materials ranging from national security affairs, leadership courses, personnel issues, logistics, and the necessary skills needed to be a sergeant major at any level in the Army. Sgt. Maj. Amoroso, is assigned to the State Area Command Headquarters, New Jersey Army National Guard, located at Fort Dix, as the Chief Personnel Sergeant for the Director of Personnel and Community Services and is a 28-year veteran with New Jersey Army National Guard. |
