Installation Division Recognized
LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ - On Wednesday, April 24, the New
Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs Installation Division
was recognized for successfully completing design and contract awards totaling
$1.5 million dollars in the last three months.
Col. (ret.) Michael Smith, New Jersey Department of Military
and Veterans Affairs (NJDMAVA) Chief of Staff presented Col. William Bertsch,
Director, and members of the NJDMAVA Installations Division the award during
a ceremony at the Lawrenceville National Guard Armory.
Installation Division awarded 20 separate projects utilizing
state capital funds and federal construction monies to support veterans
and National Guard operations. These included improvements at the
Vineland Veterans Memorial Home, as well as increasing classroom, billeting,
and firing ranges at several Sea Girt facilities.
The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs which
is the state headquarters for both the New Jersey Army and Air National
Guard and responsible for the administration of state veterans programs,
has more than 1,500 employees at 60 locations throughout the state.
