250th Forward Support Battalion
To Hold Change Of Command Ceremony
What: Change of Command Ceremony
Details: The 250th Forward Support Battalion of the New Jersey Army National Guard will hold a Change of Command Ceremony for the outgoing commander Lt. Col. William Rochelle and the incoming commander Lt. Col. Deborah Allen. A resident of Allamuchy, N.J., Allen, will command the more than 350 soldiers in the battalion which is comprised of three companies located in Sea Girt, Bordentown and Hammonton. Fulfilling missions in the supply, maintenance and medical fields, the personnel of the 250th FSB have deployed to Germany, Italy and Nicaragua recently. The 250th has mobilized and deployed several times in support of Noble Eagle - first in response to the strike on the World Trade Center, then in support of the Fresh Kills Landfill site. They deployed for 23 days guarding bridges and tunnels last spring and still have soldiers deployed guarding our nuclear power plants. The 250th Forward Support Battalion is part of the 42nd Division Support Command, located in Somerset, N.J. The 250th Forward Support Battalion is responsible for ensuring that these units are prepared for state and federal missions. Media is invited to cover this event.
