SEA GIRT , NJ - The New Jersey Army National Guard’s 63rd Army Band will perform a free outdoor concert at 3:00 pm on Sunday, August 4, 2002 at the National Guard Training Center in Sea Girt, New Jersey. The 63rd Army Band, under the direction of Bandmaster Durinda Roth will perform a variety of musical selections including virtually every style of music from popular to rock to swing with a heavy emphasis on the patriotic marching music of John Philip Sousa. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will take place in the 250th Forward Support Battalion Armory, also located at the Training Center. The public is invited. Guests are invited to bring their own chairs, blankets, and non-alcoholic refreshments. The 63rd Army Band is the only military band in New Jersey and is headquartered at the Sea Girt Facility. |
