New Jersey Army Guard Takes Third In Competition ![]() Photo caption: The New Jersey Army National Guard nine-member combined team came in third place out of 11 Male Army National Guard teams at the Association of the United States Army 18th Army Ten-Mile run on Oct. 20. The run, which began and ended at the Pentagon, was held in Washington, D.C. Standing in front of the Pentagon are (l-r) Maj. Mark Piterski, 50th Main Support Battalion; Spc. Sean Chapman, 5-117th Cavalry; Spc. Anthony Christy, 2-102nd Armor Battalion; Capt. Tracy Norman, 50th Main Support Battalion; Sgt. 1st Class Alex Estrada, Regional Training Site Maintenance; Spc. Luis Gonzalez, Regional Training Site Maintenance; Staff Sgt. Don Brandinelli, Regional Training Site Maintenance; and Maj. Jemal Beale, The Adjutant General Inspector General’s office. Sgt. 1st Class Estrada led the Garden State Army National Guard team with a time of 1:07:22, placing 617 in the field of more than 20,000 runners. |
